Aloha Yoga Shala presents this 200hr Yoga Teacher Training  for those who want to teach Yoga as a healing modality and/or for those who are interested in deepening their own personal yoga practice. This training will provide a solid foundation in Hatha Yoga and will include 200 hours of instruction and practice in Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Practical Anatomy/Physiology, Therapeutic Alignment Principles, Hands-on and Verbal Adjustments, and the Art of Teaching.  This therapeutic yoga teacher training will emphasize instructing yoga with a focus on health and wellness to the general population as well as instructing yoga to those with specific therapeutic needs. You will learn both classical yoga poses and modifications so that you can instruct yoga based wellness classes in a wide variety of complementary settings including hospitals, businesses, and community health care settings. As an affiliate school of Integrative Yoga Therapy, the Aloha Yoga Shala teacher training program in Hawai'i utilizes the Integrative Yoga Therapy curriculum from the lineage of Joseph and Lillian Le Page, both visionary leaders in the field of Yoga therapy in the United States. Many graduates of the IYT program also develop specialty programs, such as Yoga for back care, depression, seniors, stress management, diabetes and other health conditions. Our program is registered with Yoga Alliance and upon completion our graduates are eligible to apply for 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) status by contacting yogaalliance.org for registration.
